Photography Giveaway

Hey guys!

Those of you who know me know that, in addition to scrapbooking, I am totally and completely obsessed with photography. Recently, I discovered an awesome giveaway on one of the blogs I frequent, http://hopskipjumpkids.com/.

Brooke Turner Photography is giving away a free photo session. You can read all about it here. I've checked out some of Brooke's work, and she is amazingly talented. If you're interested, be sure to enter, as the contest closes in just a few hours. I know I'll be entering! :)

Awesome Giveaway!

Hey guys!

I wanted to take a rare moment and post about something non-scrapbook related. Shocking, I know! Hang to Dry is a company that makes adorable, personalized applique t-shirts for kids. Now, I'm not sure about everyone else, but we southerners are total suckers for monogrammed, personalized items, especially for our kiddos.

The awesome part is that Hang to Dry is currently giving away a year's worth of customized tee's to one lucky winner through their Etsy shop. You can read all the details and see examples of their adorable products here.

Enjoy!!

Yes, I'm still alive...and I want to give you a prize!

Okay, it's official. I am the worst blogger in the history of the blog-o-sphere. Well...maybe that's not entirely true, but I'm high up on the list. What can I say? Life has been crazy, and more poor little blog has been sooo neglected. I promise to try and do better though, so let's just start fresh, okay??

To thank you for sticking around and following my humble little blog, I want to give you something. A present. A token of my appreciation. And what, you may ask, is the catch? Well...I'm hoping you can join me tonight while I host a Speed Scrap at ScrapMatters!

If you've never been to one of our speed scraps, you are totally missing out! It's an opportunity to chat and catch up with your fellow scrappers, while having fun AND creating a fantabulous LO of your own!

It starts at 9:30 p.m. EST in the ScrapMatters chat room, and here's a look at the awesome participation prize you'll get for completing a LO:

So, if you're not busy, please plan to stop by. I promise you'll be glad you did. :) Now, in keeping with my new resolve to post more frequently, I'll be back tomorrow to show you all the fun hybrid Valentine's Day goodies I recently made for my family. Hope to see you tonight!

ScrapMatters Blog Train

Hello everyone and welcome to your next stop on the amazingly long ScrapMatters blog train! You should have arrived from Rachael's blog. I hope you've been enjoying the ride while picking up some fabulous freebies made with the awesome new SM collab kit "Many Thanks," which you can get for FREE with any $20 purchase now through Nov. 11.

We've been asked to share with you some of the things in our lives for which we are thankful. It's tough to narrow it down to just one thing, but I'd have to say I am most thankful for my amazing family. This year has been particularly tough, as both my dad and grandmother passed away within a few months of each other. And as hard as this year has been on my family and me, it has also made me appreciate them more and realize just how precious our time together is. Tomorrow isn't promised to any of us, so it's important that we make the most of each and every moment. Here's a shot of the fam and me, minus my hubby who is behind the camera. :)

We have definitely had to depend on one another in many ways in this last year and, as a result, have grown much closer. And, although they still drive me a wee bit crazy from time to time, I truly don't know what I'd do without them.

Alrighty, enough about me and on to the real reason for your visit--the freebie! Woot! Here's a look at the cute little frame cluster I made for ya. Just click on the link to download and enjoy!

Next, you'll be heading over to Lina's blog. Remember, if at any time, you get derailed while riding the blog train, you can always head over to the ScrapMatters blog for the full list of blog train participants. Have a great day, everyone!

Never fear though because the amazing Eva Kipler has teamed up with Susan of ScrapKitchen Designs to bring you this gorgeous new kit called Savannah Flea Market. Isn't it delicious? Check out those colors!

Now, it's no secret to those familiar with my scrapping style that I am a HUGE fan of patterned paper, and this kit more than delivers in that area! The only problem I had was choosing which of the fabulous papers I wanted to use on my page.

Be sure to check out Eva's blog for even more inspiration using this amazing new kit!

Birthday Blog Train

Hey everyone and welcome to your next stop aboard the WM [squared] Designs Birthday Blog Train. Choo-Choooooo!! Hopefully you made it over here from Erica’s blog, but you can always refer back to Wendy’s blog if you get a little derailed at any point. As you know, we are celebrating Wendy’s birthday by giving away lots of fabu templates all created by the boss lady herself, Wendy, and the WM [squared] CT. But…before we get to the goodies, we wanted to have a little fun and tell you all about our own most memorable birthday.

I’ll be honest. Sometimes I really miss being a kid! Everything was so much more simple and exciting back then, ya know? I guess it shouldn’t really come as a surprise then that my most memorable birthday was waaaay back in the day when I turned nine years old.

For my birthday that year, I achieved a certain rite of passage in every young girl’s life—my very first slumber party! Whoo-Hoo! I can remember just being overcome with excitement as I waited for all my little friends to arrive. And there were a ton of them! Looking back, I have no idea how I convinced my mom to let me have so many friends over at one time!

One of the best parts of that birthday was my awesome radio cake. That’s right; it was a cake in the shape of a radio with lavender and pink frosting. How awesome is that?! Now remember, this was back in the days before shows like Ace of Cakes and Food Network, so that little cake was a huuuge deal to my 9-year-old self! Now, believe me when I tell you I searched high and low for a photo of my supa-fly cake but had no luck. :( I guess all those pics are still at my mom’s. BUT…I didn’t want you to be totally disappointed, so here’s a shot of my very first birthday ever. Wasn’t I a cutie?!

Thanks for letting me share my birthday memory with you. That was fun! :) Now…onto what you came here for—the freebie! I created this fun little template for you. Hope ya enjoy, and please if you download any of the templates on today’s blog train, be sure and leave us a little comment. Everyone loves to be appreciated, right? ;) Don’t forget to grab this template right away because the links will only be active for one week!

Next, you’ll be heading to Rach’s blog for even more goodness. I hope you have a fantastic day. Happy Scrapping!
