Okay, it's official. I am the worst blogger in the history of the blog-o-sphere. Well...maybe that's not entirely true, but I'm high up on the list. What can I say? Life has been crazy, and more poor little blog has been sooo neglected. I promise to try and do better though, so let's just start fresh, okay??

We've been asked to share with you some of the things in our lives for which we are thankful. It's tough to narrow it down to just one thing, but I'd have to say I am most thankful for my amazing family. This year has been particularly tough, as both my dad and grandmother passed away within a few months of each other. And as hard as this year has been on my family and me, it has also made me appreciate them more and realize just how precious our time together is. Tomorrow isn't promised to any of us, so it's important that we make the most of each and every moment. Here's a shot of the fam and me, minus my hubby who is behind the camera. :)

We have definitely had to depend on one another in many ways in this last year and, as a result, have grown much closer. And, although they still drive me a wee bit crazy from time to time, I truly don't know what I'd do without them.

Another Gorgeous Kit and Some Brand New Templates!

So, as promised, I'm back to show you some of the goodness that was just released today from Sweet Shoppe Designs. Allie of Lliella Designs has decided to hold off on releasing her new kit until next month, but trust me. It's worth the wait!

Never fear though because the amazing Eva Kipler has teamed up with Susan of ScrapKitchen Designs to bring you this gorgeous new kit called Savannah Flea Market. Isn't it delicious? Check out those colors!

Now, it's no secret to those familiar with my scrapping style that I am a HUGE fan of patterned paper, and this kit more than delivers in that area! The only problem I had was choosing which of the fabulous papers I wanted to use on my page.

Birthday Blog Train

Hey everyone and welcome to your next stop aboard the WM [squared] Designs Birthday Blog Train. Choo-Choooooo!! Hopefully you made it over here from Erica’s blog, but you can always refer back to Wendy’s blog if you get a little derailed at any point. As you know, we are celebrating Wendy’s birthday by giving away lots of fabu templates all created by the boss lady herself, Wendy, and the WM [squared] CT. But…before we get to the goodies, we wanted to have a little fun and tell you all about our own most memorable birthday.

I’ll be honest. Sometimes I really miss being a kid! Everything was so much more simple and exciting back then, ya know? I guess it shouldn’t really come as a surprise then that my most memorable birthday was waaaay back in the day when I turned nine years old.

For my birthday that year, I achieved a certain rite of passage in every young girl’s life—my very first slumber party! Whoo-Hoo! I can remember just being overcome with excitement as I waited for all my little friends to arrive. And there were a ton of them! Looking back, I have no idea how I convinced my mom to let me have so many friends over at one time!

One of the best parts of that birthday was my awesome radio cake. That’s right; it was a cake in the shape of a radio with lavender and pink frosting. How awesome is that?! Now remember, this was back in the days before shows like Ace of Cakes and Food Network, so that little cake was a huuuge deal to my 9-year-old self! Now, believe me when I tell you I searched high and low for a photo of my supa-fly cake but had no luck. :( I guess all those pics are still at my mom’s. BUT…I didn’t want you to be totally disappointed, so here’s a shot of my very first birthday ever. Wasn’t I a cutie?!

It's Almost Here!!

Hey guys! So I admit that I haven't been a great blogger during the month of April. This month started out very rocky for me, and I haven't really been able to get caught up completely. But anywhoo, I'm hoping May will be better, and I'll be able to get everything back on track! Speaking of May, unless you've been hiding under a rock somewhere, you've probably heard of a little thing called International Scrapbooking Day or iNSD. May 1 is the official iNSD, but several sites around the digi-community are kicking off the festivities even earlier. Woot! Believe it or not, this will be my first time participating in iNSD. I hadn't even started scrapping yet at this time last year. Wow, much has changed in one year's time!

So, if you're like me and experiencing the joy of iNSD for the very first time, you may be wondering what to expect. Here's the lowdown. There will be lots of games, chats, challenges, prizes, and best of all, SALES at pretty much every digital scrapbooking site known to man. This is a huuuuge deal, people, so get those Paypal accounts ready! :)

I have been scrapping like a madwoman this week trying to keep up with all my fab designers and the amazing goodies they're getting ready to debut in a few days. It is INSANE, I tell ya (but in a good way, of course)! Every designer I CT for will be releasing at least one new product this weekend. Many of them have a multitude of goodies for you, and you are NOT going to want to miss out! Here's a little sneaky peek from Jennifer Fox Designs to whet your appetite.

So anyway, in addition to my regular designers, soon you'll start seeing even more goodies showin' up here on the blog. Did I mention how excited I am?!

New-ness and a Sneak Peek!

Hey guys! I've got some fab new releases to show you today, so let's get right to it, shall we? This first kit is a collab between Jennifer Fox Designs and Tracie Stroud Designs and is so awesome that I literally don't have the words to adequately describe it. Suffice it to say that this kit is one of my favorites of all time! Seriously the colors, the alpha...Did I mention the alpha?! Okay, let me stop babbling and let you see for yourself. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this kit. If you've got girls, it is a MUST-HAVE! Trust me. Here's my LO. Did I mention how awesome this kit is? ;)

And you may have noticed that I've missed not one but TWO Fridays. But, I've had some pretty heavy family stuff going on, and I truly apologize. Barring any future personal disasters, I promise not to miss anymore. Sound good? Okay then. Let me catch you up on what's new this week.

First up is a super-versatile paper pack by Designs by Sarah Bennett called Krafty Paper Pack.

Also new in the shop today is an adorable new kit by Man in the Moon Designs. It's Called Good Clean Fun, and I'm tellin' ya. Ro really outdid herself with this one. Check it out:

Mary has teamed up with another fab designer to bring you a fantastic new kit which will be hitting the stores soon. So, what's up with practically everyone I know having birthdays in March and April? It's crazy! But, if you're in the same situation as I am, you're in luck! Jennifer Fox has released some supa-cute birthday kits that are brand new and on sale at the Digichick!

First up is your teaser from yesterday, My Birthday Boy.

Isn't it great?! Seriously, you guys, the colors in this kit will Blow. You. Away. They're that cute! Check out my LO. I just love the way it turned out!

Also brand new today at the Digichick is a re-release from Jenn called Cuppycakes. It's a continuation of the birthday theme and is perfect for scrapping all your little princesses' birthdays. Check it out.

Would ya LOOK at those polka dots?! I totally have a think for the dots, so I am looovin' this kit! AND I'm among the gazillion March and April babies, so I was able to scrap a page all about me and my recent 27th birthay.

Hey everyone!! It's Friday, my favorite day of the week! I've got some awesome new releases to show you, so let's get right to it. The first is from Designs by Sarah Bennett, an awesome new element pack called All Wrapped Up. This adorable pack contains 17 glittered bubble wrap elements to add a little extra pop to your pages.

I am in love with these cute bubble wrap elements and can really see myself using them on A LOT of my pages. Here's one I created using the new product plus the awesome March collab from ScrapMatters called Kids at Play.

Sarah has also released a coordinating set of CU: Bubble Wrap Brushes that can easily be filled with your favorite colors or styles.

And, if you check out the Designs by Sarah Bennett CT blog, you'll find a cute little quick page freebie made by the fabulous Janine. By sure to become a follower so you can keep up with all the latest news from Sarah.

Moving on to some more awesome new releases, Haynay Designs has two new products in the store today. The first is the latest in her Chronicling Life series. It's called Chronicling Life April Mini Kit and is perfect for those participating in Project 365 or for anyone who loves to create fun, colorful layouts!

Be sure to check out all the other coordinating Chronicling Life items, including mini kits for January-March.

Another new product hitting stores today is a set of Dotted Dates from Haynay.

Hey everyone! So, in my last post, I mentioned that I'd recently received some good news, and here it is!

That's right; I've been asked to join the Haynay Designs CT, so I'm officially a Haynay Hunnie! Heehee. I've been a fan of Heather's designs since I started scrapping, so I am thrilled to be part of her team! I've already gotten the chance to play with her newest release Tumble Time and created this fun LO for the Grand Theft LO challenge at SM.

Here's a look at the kit preview. It is seriosly too cute!

Calling All Princess Fans

Hey everyone! It's been a crazy, busy, fun weekend, so unfortunately I haven't had much time to scrap, but...I wanted to take a few minutes to show you two fantastic new products from Kellybell Designs. The kit is called Princess of Agrabah, and I'll bet if you have a little girl or are a Disney fan, you will LOVE it! There's also a set of word art that coordinates perfectly with the kit. These products are perfect for scrapping those princess dress-up photos but are versatile enough for lots of other things too. So, I'm a little late posting this, but it's been that kind of day! It's Friday, so you know what that means...new release day at ScrapMatters!! Whoo-Hoo!

Hey everyone! It's Friday, and that means new release day at ScrapMatters! As I mentioned in the last post, Sarah has re-released several of her older products and also has an adorable new kit. So, let's get right to it! First up is the fun, bright, super-cute "Spunky Monkey." You can grab it here at ScrapMatters.

Kicking Off the New Blog

Hi everyone! Welcome to my very first blog post (Said with the hope that someone eventually will be reading this)! I've decided to start my own scrapping blog so that I can showcase my layouts as well as some of my favorite products. This is something I've been wanting to do for quite some time now, but I'm finally buckling down and making myself do it!

For starters, I have some exciting news to share. Recently, ScrapMatters, my very favorite scrapping site, announced they were holding a CT call. I figured I didn't have much of a shot, especially since I've only been scrapping for a few months, but decided to submit an application anyway. Well, lo and behold, I landed a guest spot for the month of June!

Look, there's my name! I'm so excited and still a bit shocked. There were about 130 applications, so to have been chosen out of such a strong and talented field--even for a guest spot--is such an honor. I don't have a lot of other details at this point and probably won't know much more until closer to June, but I'll be sure to come back and update whenever the time comes.

My second piece of news also involved being selected for a CT. The fabulous and sweet Sarah Bennett announced a few weeks ago that she'd be permanently staying on at SM as a designer. So, she decided to hold a CT call, and I was chosen to be a part of the team.

See, there's my name again! Again, I am so excited and honored to have been selected. I've already started getting to know my way around Sarah's CT forum and interacting with the other girls on the team. I think we're going to have a blast! Sarah is re-releasing some of her old stuff from her former Funky Playground Designs shop, so look for that on Friday. Also, there's a fabulous new kit that you are going to love! It's full of fun and cheer, and I can't wait to show it off on Friday.
